The Fuji Racing Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate is a lightweight, high-flow sandwich plate built from 6061 aluminum. The built-in thermostat prevents oil flow to the cooler until the engine oil reaches activating temperature, allowing for both a faster warm-up at startup and extra oil system protection in cold climates. The Sandwich plate comes with an 82c thermostat.
The Thermostatic Oil Sandwich plate is made specifically for the Subaru EJ series engine, No other supplier makes a specific sandwich plate for Subaru models.
The plate allows for the oil cooler pipes to run up the front of the timing covers and under the headlight by using either a 45d or 90d fitting off the sandwich plate, this allows for the shortest possible hose routing to the oil cooler and keeps the oil cooler hoses away from the exhaust manifold.
